Case Study of Automation System in the New Materials Industry

The client is a listed company that produces functional materials. WIJAY designed and built a new fully automated production line for the client, which transports materials such as slaked lime and bentonite. The total production capacity of this line is 36 tons per day. Bulk materials are transported from tanker trucks via pneumatic conveying to an 80-cubic-meter outdoor storage silo. The materials are then conveyed from the silo to weighing tanks. The weighing is based on the preset formula in the central control system to measure the required materials, achieving fully automated processing of the materials, which significantly reduces transportation costs and labor costs, and enables real-time monitoring of material usage. The dust emission concentration of the dust collector is ≤ 30mg/Nm3. Noise index: The noise level is below 80DB when tested 1 meter away from the equipment. The control logic is simple and easy to use, runs smoothly, and the weighing error is less than 0.5%. The logic interlock is complete, ensuring safe operation.



The client is a leading enterprise that possesses the first automated production line for bentonite in Asia. WIJAY built an automated material processing system for this client to enhance its production efficiency and optimize the production process. The automated processing system mainly undertakes various processes such as feeding, crushing, grinding, storage, weighing and batching, pneumatic mixing, and automatic packaging for multiple raw materials. The production capacity is 10 tons per hour. The main raw materials used in this production line include bentonite powder and various additives. The weighing batching system can separately and repeatedly weigh various additives, and can trace the accuracy of the material weighing. The weighing batching system includes 8 auxiliary material weighing storage tanks, two auxiliary material weighing tanks, and two main material and auxiliary material mixing weighing tanks. The pneumatic mixing system replaces the client’s original mechanical mixing method.
