Baodi Project’s Automated Feeding System for Eco-Friendly Materials: Overcoming Urea Granule Conveying Challenges to Deliver Efficient, Stable Solutions
In the field of eco-friendly material production, urea granules are widely utilized for their exceptional performance. However, their highly hygroscopic nature, tendency to agglomerate, and heat sensitivity have long posed insurmountable technical challenges for automated feeding systems. Traditional mechanical conveying methods often lead to material caking and blockages, while conventional pneumatic conveying frequently triggers urea decomposition due to friction-induced heating, severely impacting production efficiency and product quality. Through in-depth research into material properties (including the risk of moisture absorption and adhesion even at moisture content ≤0.5%) and innovative pneumatic conveying technology, the Wijay technical team has successfully developed the industry’s first automated feeding system specifically designed for urea granules. This breakthrough achieves a conveying efficiency ≥98% and a breakage rate <0.1%.

Core Technology Breakthroughs:
Low-Shear Pneumatic Conveying Design: Utilizes low-velocity dense-phase conveying technology (flow velocity ≤8m/s) with a closed-loop nitrogen protection system (oxygen content <0.5%). This effectively suppresses urea pyrolysis (temperature precisely controlled below 45°C) while preventing particle collision and fragmentation.
Dynamic Anti-Caking Module: Integrated high-frequency micro-vibration devices (frequency 20-30Hz) and real-time humidity monitoring (accuracy ±0.1%RH) within the conveying pipeline. When relative humidity exceeds 40%, the system automatically triggers dry gas displacement, completely eliminating mid-transit caking issues.

Intelligent Feeding Algorithm: Dynamically adjusts conveying pressure (0.2-0.4MPa) based on material flowability parameters (angle of repose ≤25°), ensuring stable feeding for 12 consecutive hours. System energy consumption reduced by 35% compared to traditional solutions.
Actual Benefits: This system has operated continuously for over 6,000 hours at the Baodi project, achieving a single-line conveying capacity of 5 tons/hour with a failure rate <0.5 times/month. It has enabled the client to achieve a significant leap in waste reduction—from 3.2% to 0.8%. Through data-driven technological innovation, Wijay has redefined industry standards for efficient conveying of eco-friendly materials.
