Automated Material Handling System for the Bakery Industry

The client company specializes in baked goods, traditional pastries, and snack foods, ranking among China’s leading pastry brands. As the client’s production scale continues to expand, they require a brand-new automated production line. Among these, our company has customized an automated raw material handling system for the client, designed to process materials such as flour, granulated sugar, and purified water. The system employs positive pressure conveying, with a maximum throughput of 4 tons per hour, a maximum conveying distance of approximately 100 meters, and a maximum height of approximately 4 meters.

This project primarily consists of the following three modules:

  • Ingredient Storage System: The front-end sifted flour feeding station processes flour feeding, after which the flour is conveyed to two large flour storage tanks; the sugar feeding station handles sugar feeding, subsequently conveying sugar to the sugar storage tank. The feeding process is dust-free, facilitating clean production. The sifted flour feeding station accommodates both ton bags and small bags, meeting diverse customer feeding requirements.
  • Pure Water Constant Temperature Treatment System: After pure water is delivered to the storage heat exchanger tank, operators can set the desired temperature value on the control panel to achieve the customer-specified water temperature. Subsequently, the pure water is transported to various usage points via centrifugal pumps.
  • Weighing Storage System: This system incorporates seven weighing tanks. Based on diverse customer formula requirements, it quantitatively conveys flour, sugar, and process water into the seven weighing tanks before vertically discharging the materials into eleven mixers. Ingredient accuracy reaches up to 0.3%, ensuring product consistency and quality.
